How I can help
Everything an education business needs to stay compliant and in control, whether you’re a sole trader or running a limited company. Clear prices where I can, and a fair quote where every job is different.
Year end accounts & corporation tax
I prepare your year end accounts and CT600 corporation tax return, making sure everything is accurate, compliant and submitted to Companies House and HMRC on time. Every company is different, so I’ll quote after a quick look at your records.
Self assessment & MTD ITSA
Your self assessment handled from start to finish: income gathered, expenses claimed properly, return filed and the tax bill explained in plain English. I’ll also get you set up and ready for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax before the rules change.
PAYE & payroll
If you employ tutors or staff, I run your payroll and PAYE submissions so everyone is paid correctly and HMRC gets what it needs, every time. Usually added on to my year end accounts service, priced as part of your quote.
VAT
From VAT registration and quarterly returns to Making Tax Digital for VAT compliance, I handle it all, so you never miss a deadline or fall foul of HMRC requirements. Usually added on to my year end accounts service, priced as part of your quote.
Financial advice & guidance
Deciding between sole trader and limited company, unsure what expenses you can claim, navigating VAT rules, or simply wanting to understand your numbers better: I give you clear, straightforward guidance so you can make confident decisions about your business.

Common questions
Do I need an accountant?
Not always by law, but there’s real value beyond compliance. A good accountant can help you claim every allowable expense and structure things sensibly to save tax and goes further than that too: regular reports, advice and analysis that show you what your numbers actually mean, so you can make confident decisions and take your business to the next level, not just file on time.
What’s the difference between bookkeeping and full accountancy?
Bookkeeping keeps your day to day records straight: income, expenses, receipts. Accountancy takes that and turns it into your accounts, tax returns and filings, which is where the CIMA qualification comes in.
I run a limited company, can you still help?
Yes. I work with sole traders and limited companies alike, including year end accounts and corporation tax (CT600) filings.
What is MTD ITSA and do I need to worry about it?
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is HMRC’s move to digital record keeping and quarterly updates for the self-employed and landlords. I get clients ready well ahead of their staging date so there’s no last minute scramble.
How much does it cost?
Self assessment starts from £270. Year end accounts are quoted individually since every business is different. See the pricing above for the full breakdown.
Do you offer monthly packages?
Yes. Spreading the cost into monthly payments makes it easier to budget for and it means I can keep on top of your bookkeeping throughout the year rather than catching up in one go, so there are no surprises once a year when it’s time to file.
How quickly will you reply if I get in touch?
Within one working day, usually much sooner.
